Biography
Dr. JJ McIntyre is a scholar, practitioner, and consultant in risk and crisis communication. Dr. McIntyre earned his Ph.D. in risk and crisis communication from North Dakota State University. He has conducted research for and consulted with many national organizations involved in crisis communication such as The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and The United States Department of Agriculture. Currently, Dr. McIntyre is an Associate Professor at the University of Central Arkansas. He is an internationally published author in the field of crisis communication, who has served on several journal editorial boards, collaborated with numerous local organizations such as first responder groups and local businesses, and helped create a diverse and responsive crisis communication team at his own university. He continues working to evolve crisis teams and related committees to put crisis and risk principles into practice within academic institutions.
