Joan McCain has 25 years of professional experience in the marketing communication field. After working for advertising agencies, public relations firms and corporations, McCain opened her own marketing consulting and freelance writing business. She has produced hundreds of radio and TV commercials, brochures, annual reports, websites and public relations materials. She holds a master’s degree in mass communication. She is frequently called upon to conduct training programs on creative thinking, business writing and to deliver keynote speeches on marketing and promotion. In the Nicholson School of Communication and Media, she teaches Advertising Copywriting and Advertising-Public Relations Campaigns. She has also taught Writing for PR and Introduction to Public Relations. She joined the NSCM faculty full time in 2004.
