Tyler Spradley, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Stephen F. Austin State University, multi-recipient of the endowed Jim Towns Mentoring Professor award, and the Leadership Minor Coordinator. His research and teaching focus on crisis and risk communication; emergency response and management; high reliability; leadership; conflict; and discourse and materiality. His work has been featured in the International Encyclopedia of Organizational Communication, the Intima, and the Journal of Human Services: Training, Research, and Practices. Additionally, he has presented his work at International Communication Association conferences, National Communication Association conferences, Southern States Communication Association conferences, International Crisis and Risk Communication conferences, and more.
