Cayce Myers, Ph.D., LL.M., J.D., APR is an assistant professor in Virginia Tech’s Department of Communication where he is on the public relations faculty. He is also the Legal Research Editor for the Institute for Public Relations. Dr. Myers’s research focuses on the effect laws and regulations have on public relations practice, and how PR has historically developed in the U.S. in response to external influences, such as law, politics, and economics. Prior to working in academia, Dr. Myers was a practicing attorney in Georgia.
