Emina Herovic is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Communication at the University of Maryland. Her research focuses on the social implications of risk, crisis, disaster, and war. Prior to joining the University of Maryland, she worked on projects focusing on building resilience to large scale catastrophes at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. She has taught a variety of university classes both domestically and abroad including teaching at the University of Maryland, University of Kentucky, Shanghai University, and Tianjin Foreign Studies University. Dr. Herovic earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Kentucky.
