Seungjun Lee, a systems ecologist, earned his Ph.D. in environmental engineering from the University of Florida. He is currently working as a senior research fellow for the Korea Environment Institute, and interested in developing environmental policy from the perspectives of interactions between ecological and socioeconomic systems. His recent research has focused on climate change risk and disaster-related policy.
Communication Strategies for Three Perception Types on Climate Change Risk
The Purpose of the study is to suggest risk communication strategies by analyzing and grouping public perception types on climate change risk in Korea. This study finally defined three groups of perception on climate risk: individual group, active problem-facing group, and passive group. The situational theory was applied to draw communication strategies for each group.
