Sofia Salazar is currently an international graduate student in the Nicholson School of Communication at the University of Central Florida. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Communication with a track in Mass Communication and is expecting to graduate in May 2019. Sofia received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Communication and Journalism from the Bicentenary University of Aragua in Maracay, Venezuela. Some things interesting about Sofia are that she has double citizenship form Venezuela and Spain; volunteers as an Ambassador for the UCF Global International Ambassador Program; she is a huge fan of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings; and loves: spending time with her family and friends, swimming, dancing, reading, and traveling.

In Jan 2013, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland found horse and pig DNA in frozen beef burgers from several supermarkets chains in the UK. As the grocery store with the largest market share in Great Britain, the bulk of the spotlight fell on Tesco as the crisis unfolded.
