François Allard is a Ph.D. candidate at the CELSA – Graduate School of Communication of the Sorbonne University in Paris and a former Visiting Fellow of the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania. After a Master thesis on pesticides risk regulation and the European Commission, he is currently writing his Ph.D. thesis on the question of “transparency” for risk assessment and risk communication practices in both European and North-American scientific institutions. His research interests are at the crossroad of sociology of risk and discourse questions in the post-modern society.
