Biography

Najma Akhther is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication at Wayne State University. Najma is also an Assistant Professor of the Journalism and Media Studies program at Jahangirnagar University (JU) in Bangladesh. She is presently on leave for her doctoral study. Najma’s research interest lies at the intersection of health-risk and crisis communication with a focus on mental health-risk and message effects.
