Biography

Rodrigo Soares has more than 15 years of experience as a practitioner in the communication/public relations field, holding leadership positions in multinational companies such as Shell and Vale. He is currently a PhD Candidate in strategic communication at the University of Central Florida (UCF). His research focuses on risk and crisis communication in health and organizational settings. He also holds a M.A. in Communication from UCF, a bachelor’s degree in Communication/Advertising from Universidade Estacio de Sa – Brazil, an MBA from IBMEC -Brazil, and executive/leadership certification from the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In 2020, he earned UCF’s Nicholson School of Communication and Media Graduate Student Research / Creative Activity Award.
