Just when we thought we had seen it all…Spraytect comes around. This company is introducing functionality and effectiveness into one. This iPhone case is equipped with pepper spray attached to the back for easy access. They are marketing this as a “groundbreaking personal protection device.” It sure protects more than just your phone! Refills are available for purchase, but your first purchase includes a test canister that allows you to practice and get a feel for the device. They even come in multiple colors (pink, turquoise, black, and white). They plan to expand into other markets besides the iPhone in the near future. They also market with proudly supporting American business by making all products in the US. But what if it accidently fires? Dont worry, they thought of that! There are several safety features to protect accidental firing. Spraytect’s website describes their product as follows:

I think this technology could work well in the college environment. Personally, I carry pepper spray on my keychain, but by combining it with an object I always have (my phone), it would make my items more compact.
