Multiple technology outlets have reported that Apple is preparing to announce the full details about their new iPhone and iPad models in late March. The new iPhone, which is called the iPhone SE, will return to the 4-inch screen model and the new iPad Pro model is expected to be smaller than its predecessor as well.
The new 4-inch iPhone SE is believed to be a hybrid of the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6 and 6S’s features. Many reports have stated that the new phone will have a look that is similar to the iPhone 5S and will have slightly curved edges like the iPhone 6 and 6S. It is expected to have a 12-mega pixel camera and live photos, among other features. It is also believed that the phone will come in a wide range of colors. Some reports, including one from Mashable.com, believe one of the colors will be hot pink. The last time Apple released a 4-inch phone was back in 2013, when they released the budget-friendly iPhone 5C.
As for the new iPad Pro model, it is believed that it will be 9.7 inches, which is much smaller than the 12.9-inch model that is currently on the market. Despite the new design, the new iPad Pro is expected to have the same accessories as the current model.
After the release of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6S Plus last year, it is a possibility that Apple wants to have a variety of models for consumers to choose from (ranging from 4 inches to 5.5 inches with the same amount of functionality). There is also a belief that Apple is planning om discontinuing older iPad models after they release the new model.
