Carmelo Anthony is one of the best scorers in the NBA and he’s missing the playoffs for the first time in his 11 year career. He made an All-Star record eight three pointers in the All-Star game on February 16th 2014 in which the East defeated the West 163-155. Anthony came to the New York Knicks to win a championship, and things have been up and down since being there. When you’re in the spotlight, there’s a lot of pressure because the organization is going to expect a lot out of that particular athlete. Carmelo Anthony will become a free-agent in July, and many say that he will leave the New York Knicks.
Carmelo Anthony will stay with the New York Knicks for the 2014 season. Like I’ve already mentioned, he says he will become a free-agent in July, and many sports reporters and people believe the All-Star is going to jump ship and head to the Chicago Bulls. I don’t think that’s going to happen because Phil Jackson whom is a former basketball coach for the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers is now the president of the New York Knicks. Phil Jackson has 11 championship rings coaching the Chicago Bulls and the Lakers. Jackson knows what it takes to win an NBA title, and with Carmelo already trying to win one with the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony can learn from Phil Jackson so he can accomplish his goal.
It’d be cool to see Carmelo Anthony with the Chicago Bulls because of his ability to score, but I just don’t see him going to Chicago. Anthony has talent around him in New York, and his team just have to play better basketball. The Knicks have a championship caliber team. It takes time to accomplish a goal, but it’ll eventually happen if you believe and work hard at it. The Knicks president Phil Jackson will want Carmelo Anthony back in New York, and Jackson will show Carmelo what it takes to win a championship being in the spotlight in Madison Square Garden in New York.
