*The supermodel Gigi Hadid makes it to our list twice! That girl can get any guy, she is absolutely gorgeous and did we mention she’s a model? Just this past week she auditioned for the 2015 Victoria Secret Fashion Show and got in. She posted videos in her social media accounts, showing her excitement of fulfilling her life-long dream.

But just seeing so many names of very good-looking people, it is so depressing. Of course we are all aware that it is extremely hard to maintain a healthy and trusting relationship nowadays in the Hollywood world. Bus still, celebrity’s news about break-ups keeps getting more frequent each. We don’t approve, but that’s just life.

Let’s just hope people try to work out their problem before giving up, because if people like them who are successful, good looking, rich can keep a relationship… What’s left for everyone else?

Stabbing on UC Merced Campus, Perpetrator Shot and Killed by Police

The campus police at University of California, Merced shot and killed a male student on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 after he wounded four people in a stabbing rampage on campus.

Two students, one staff member, and a construction worker were the victims. All are expected to survive the injury, though two of the victims needed to be air-lifted to a hospital.

A classroom building at the center of campus was the site of the incident, and the stabbing was said to have occurred around 8 am. School officials closed the campus immediately after the chaos, and are offering counseling to the witnesses and victims.

“We were told our campus was safe, that security was everywhere, but no one really knew,” said one student. “We were under the impression that we were always safe, but when that [prior stabbing] occurred, we understood that maybe we should take more serious precautions.”

Some of my friends wanted to cry. Some were upset. Some were in shock. It was insane to hear that this happened in general,” he continued. “You know it’s happened at other universities, and you know schools have been through these situations … but I don’t think anybody would have assumed it would happen here. We knew it could happen, but nobody thought it would.”

Information regarding the perpetrator has yet to be released, but the police have confirmed it was a male student. Campus officials are planning to resume classes and re-open the school and surrounding roads on Thursday, the day following the incident.

Homecoming Parade Gone Wrong; Four Dead, Dozens Injured.

Deadly crash turns Oklahoma State University’s homecoming parade into a horrifying massacre; four dead and forty-seven injured. Twenty-five year old Adacia Chambers is the woman responsible for such tragedy. Chambers is being held with DUI (Driving under the Influence) and second-degree murder charges (facing four murder charges). As the annual traditional homecoming parade was taking place, Adacia lost control of her vehicle and abruptly interrupted the parade in a grey car hitting a police motorcycle first and then slamming into the crowd of screaming parade goers.

Witnesses say bodies flew thirty feet into the air and the parade turned into a complete chaos. While the pandemonium continued one of the parade goers held Adacia down before police could hand cough her making sure she did not get away from such a crime. The district attorney says Chambers was on drugs, but her attorney says she is mentally ill. No one can fully determine the situation until the toxicology results come in. Adacia ended up killing 65 year old Marvin Stone and his wife Bonnie Stone, 23 year old student Nakita Nakal, and two year old Nash Lucas.

The Oklahoma State University’s homecoming parade attracts thousands of families and alumni every year; however, the Stillwater community is extremely devastated by the events and perhaps this incident might end the traditional parade. The school’s president is in complete shock and hopes that those eight victims that are severely injured in the hospital make it out alive. The school still had their homecoming football game as scheduled and had a moment of silence as respect for those who died.

Your Problem Is Not Lack Of Time; It Is Lack Of Focus

People often complain about lack of time, but the real issue is lack of focus or direction. If you feel you never have enough time you may need to reassess your goal. That will get you back on track and you will soon see that you have lots of time.

When our thoughts are scattered, by multitasking, we loose the valuable commodity of time. However, if you are focused on one specific task you will feel in control and coincidentally manage your time better. In my opinion, there is no such thing as multitasking; anyway. We can only do one thing at a time, bare in mind I’m aware of the minuscule tasks we accomplish on a day to day basis. Nevertheless, these are not the things we complain about when we consider loss of time.

The things we say we lack the time to do are those meaningful task that call for our specific, focused, undivided attention. For example, that big presentation you have to give, that will call for a focused mindset, if you want to do it well.

Another thing that causes stress over time is the arch nemesis of time; procrastination. Procrastination more than anything else makes you feel like you don’t have time. If more people would begin things as soon as possible and by doing thing in increments they would not feel so pressured. We can learn a lot from the old adage ‘ how do you eat an elephant'(One bite at a time).

Finally, I suggest you try these things over the next month and see if your lost time does not return, I guarantee it will.

Ex-NBA Star Still Recovering In LA Hospital

Lamar Odom was found unresponsive in a Love Ranch, a brothel in California. In three days that Odom spent at the brothel he spent over $75,000.

Employees told 911 dispatchers that Odom used cocaine on Saturday and when the brothel employees found him, he was laying in bed with pinkish fluid coming out of his mouth and nose.

Not much else is known, besides Odom really needs some guidance.

Family says he has taken a few steps since arriving in Los Angeles, part of what they describe as “miraculous progress” for the former NBA player.

In a statement released Tuesday, Odom’s aunt JaNean Mercer and the Odom family thanked doctors and nurses who cared for him at a Las Vegas hospital, asking supporters to keep praying for him.

“As Lamar begins a new chapter in his road to recovery, PLEASE continue to uplift him and the family in prayer. He continues to make miraculous progress, taking a few steps in Los Angeles. We couldn’t be more overjoyed! We realize Lamar’s continued improvement will not be easy, however his unrelenting strength and faith in GOD will pull him through.”

Odom was hospitalized in Las Vegas last week after he was found unconscious at the Love Ranch, a brothel in Nevada where he’d spent several days.

 

A friend of Odom’s told CNN News that he has been transferred to a Los Angeles hospital. Former college coach Jim Harrick said on CNN’s “New Day” on Monday that the 35-year-old athlete has made “a little bit of progress” and has told his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, “I love you.”

Kardashian released a statement of her own, thanking doctors and nurses for helping Odom make “incredible strides.”

“You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure,” she said. “Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!

Russian airliner crashes in Sinai, 163 of 224 passengers confirmed dead so far

On Saturday, Kogalymavia Flight 9268 disembarked from the resort Sharm el-Sheikh in northern Sinai and crashed in the peninsula while en route to St. Petersburg. Reports say the aircraft split in two in mid-air, with one piece disintegrating into flames and the second piece smashing itself to bits. All 224 passengers are believed to be dead, including 217 Russians and four Ukrainians, 17 to 25 of which (depending on the source) were children. Seven crew members were also killed. As of now, 163 bodies have been found within the 20 square kilometer crash radius.

The cause behind the accident remains a mystery, and officials are currently trying to discover what went wrong. The flight data recorder and the voice data recorder from the aircraft’s black box are already being processed in Cairo. While the Islamic State has already claimed responsibility for the crash via online social media, officials have already ruled them out as suspect to their inability to carry out such a feat given the known equipment and skills at their disposal. Rather, they believe the cause of the accident is a technical error. The aircraft had apparently disappeared abruptly from the radar without any distress calls and didn’t reappear until it had hit the surface, according to Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister Hossam Kamel.

Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi says that black box analysis may take “months” before a solution is found. They have the advantage compared to the string of recent lost airplanes in the past years in which black boxes were never found.

Other airlines in the area are already adjusting to prevent another tragedy from occurring until it is confirmed that the crash was not caused by jihadist militants. Emirates, Lufthansa, Air France-KLM, and Qatar Airways are among them and have directed all flights to avoid Sinai entirely, with Flydubai, Air Arabia, and Etihad Airways moving away from hot-spots and remaining cautious of further potential attacks.

Russia Announces Plans to Land Man on the Moon

Welcome to 1969, Russia! The Russian Federal Space Agency recently announced plans for a manned moon mission in 2029. This is another big step in what appears to be Russia re-establishing itself as a global superpower. Russia may have lost the space race when Apollo 11 landed on the moon in 1969, but a new spark of ambition has Russia looking to burst into a new era for their space program. The moon landing is simply a precursor for Russia in their ultimate goal of setting up a lunar station. This would be new ground that even America hasn’t broken yet.

Since the the Cold War a lot has changed when it comes to space exploration. America has turned its sight to Mars, and talks of a colony are often focused on the red planet. China has launched their own probes that have successfully orbited and landed on the moon, because of this it is also assumed that China is planning a manned moon mission. This means that all three superpowers are looking to the stars, and are in at least indirect competition to leave their mark in space.

Russia blazed a trail, and launched the Space Race, but since the seventies it’s been widely considered that they ended in second place. However, in this new millennium they may retake the lead and reveal it was a marathon all along.

Mark Zuckerberg and Wife Are Opening a School

The founder of Facebook and his wife, Priscilla Chan, are opening a school with a unique twist: it will offer health services to its students from the moment they are born until their graduation.

The school, which will offer education from the kindergarten level to high school, will be called ‘The Primary School’ and will be a privately owned charity institution. It will open its doors in August of 2016 in East Palo Alto, California.

“It’s a new kind of school which will bring both education and health together”, according to Zuckerberg via Facebook post, naturally. Financed through Zuckerberg’s and Chan’s sponsor fund, this school is targeted to low class students, therefore, tuition will be free of charge. In some cases, the school will enroll students before they are even born by offering prenatal support for their families. The goal is to, literally, offer medical assistance and education from birth to graduation.

The school will also have an on-campus clinic, specially for its students and it will also be associated with the Ravenswood Family Health Center. Ravenswood, which is located near the school future location will also offer medical and dental services to the children and their families.

“Both health and education are strongly intertwined”, said Zuckerberg on his post. “When kids are not healthy it’s harder for them to learn what you’re teaching them. Lots of kids and teachers around the country have to deal with the consequences of poor health in the classroom everyday.”

The Zuckerberg family have previously supported schools with innovating proposals, including their investment at AltSchool, which was created in San Francisco in 2013. Mark and Priscila are expecting their first daughter.

Whale Caught in Fishing Line for Two Days is Finally Free

After being caught in fishing line for two days, a whale in Long Beach California finally swims free after being helped by its rescuers. The adult humpback whale was spotted Friday off the Orange County coast about 45 miles south of Los Angeles and reported to have gotten stuck in what looked like a lobster trap and got agitated. It got more and more tangled until a team of rescuers began operating. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration cut away over 100 feet of rope and buoys before the whale swam off.

The next day the whale was spotted 60 miles south of La Jolla Cove in San Diego. After three hours the Sea World team of rescuers were able to cut away some more 230 feet of rope, leaving only some line in its mouth.

NOAA’s whale rescue team has encountered 50 entangled whales since January which is much more than usual. According to Justin Viezbicke, a NOAA program specialist who was part of Friday’s rescue effort, the spike could be attributed to warmer waters bringing the animals closer to shore, where they encounter fishing gear.

Efforts have been put place to not only help whales who get trapped in fishing lines but also to prevent such emergencies from happening.

“Our response network is really just a Band-Aid,” Viezbicke said. “We’re looking for ways to be proactive and minimize these situations in the future.”

Reports say that the rescue team was able to cut away buoys that will help give the researchers answers as to what can be done to help make the whales more safe.

Taylor Swift Sued For Stealing Lyrics To Write Her Chart Topper Shake It Off

The trouble doesn’t seem to be going away for Taylor Swift, a couple of months ago she was being sued by a DJ because of claims that she made about sexual harassment that caused him to loose his job. And now she is being sued by R & B singer Jesse Graham for stealing lines from his song ” Hater Gonna Hate”.

Graham claims that he has a connection with Swift’s management and they have heard the song before. This is how he thinks that Swift got the idea for her pop anthem- “Shake It Off”. This song was the lead single for  her 1989 album which came out over a year ago. Graham puts forth that if it were not for his song and his lyrics that she would not have been able to come up with her song that has gained so much success over the past year.

Some claim that they phrases that Graham claims that Swift stole are common everyday phrases that are just so apart of human culture that one can not be blamed for putting them into lyrics, and others claims that she stole the lyrics and claimed them as her own.

The phrase was also used in a song by girl group 3LW, so does the theft go back even further than Jesse Graham. I wonder upon further examination how many times that phrase has been used. The phrase haters has been apart of popular culture for a while being cited in rap lyrics, t shirts, even televisions shows. Can one person really claim ownership over that phrase? Or is the phrase just so common that it can’t be apart of copyright?
