Snapchat: Naughty or nice? You decide.

The app that lets you send pictures and videos to other people where they are unable to save those sent photos and videos is trying to clean up its tainted reputation. Snapchat is one of the most popular apps in both Apple’s App Store and Google’s “Google Play” Like said before this app lets you send other users images and videos where they can view them for as short as 1 second up to 10 seconds. Also the receiver is unable to save the media unless the screenshot the actual image or video which causes the sender to be notified of the screenshot.

Snapchat has been under some scrutiny since its release in September 2011. Mostly teens and young adults use it. What is always on the minds of these age groups you ask? SEX! Yes, Snapchat has turned into a device for the sending of sexual images and videos. With this problem on the rise the company wants to expand their market and get the app to cater to the current clientele but also to the older generations out there. Like stated before people in the age range of 13 to 23 mostly use this app. Snapchat believes that with more older people using the app its image will turn from a “Sexting app” to a fun app that let you communicate with everyone.

Snapchat is also expanding their product into wearable technology. Snapchat teamed up with Samsung and made a prototype of a new watch that has a camera in it. The watch will communicate with your phone and you will be able to take pictures from the watch and upload them into Snapchat.
