Thanksgiving is Close, But the 4th of July Reigns King Among Holidays

With everybody getting into the holiday season, I thought I would take a minute and discuss what my favorite holidays are. First, as I have grown older, I have come to the conclusion that the real reason I enjoy holidays don’t really have anything to do with the actual holiday itself. That might trite or shallow to any of the readers, but its true. I enjoy holidays for the time off work I am allotted and the time that I get to spend with friends and family.

But, back to my two favorite holidays. In second, comes Turkey Day. A Fall day in late November that is filled with foods such as turkey, stuffing, potatoes, green beans, and various amounts of pie and dessert. As a family, we come together and for our meal and enjoy each other’s company. We get to tell stories about our childhood and get to discuss whats going on in our life. Thanksgiving is football, sweatshirts, and all the delicious food you can eat while spending time with those closest to you.

In first place comes the Fourth of July holiday. The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday because not only does it come at the best time of the year, the middle of the summer, but it almost always involves grilling, drinking, and some form of water activity. Water activities, grilling, and drinking usually equate to a good time had by all. In my personal life, the month of July is the time where my company is the most relaxed. In August, our busy season begins, so the month of July is a time where our employees are allowed to rest before our busy season begins.

Thanksgiving and The Fourth of July are the best holidays. During the Thanksgiving holiday I get to spend time with my family and enjoy a great meal with them. During the Fourth of July holiday, I get to have a great time in my favorite time of the year.
