For the millions of readers that became engulfed in the trilogy of “Fifty Shades of Grey”, it has finally happened! E.L. James, the author of the novel released the names of the cast members who will be playing the 2 main characters for the highly anticipated movie. Fans have been anticipating this announcement since last year, when it was confirmed that a film was going to be made based off the books. Charlie Hunnam will portray Christian Grey, the debonair and very successful businessman who is surprisingly involved with BDSM (Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadism and Masochism). This is a fetish some individuals have with using chains, whips, and other similar toys during sexual intercourse. Dakota Johnson, who has appeared in the films “21 Jump Street” and “The Five Year Engagement”, will be Anastasia Steele. Ana is a shy girl who has not gone all the way with a guy, working as a journalist when she meets Christian. He becomes very infatuated with Ana and decides to ask her to make a deal with him: she has to be his sex slave for three months in exchange for money, clothes, and pretty much whatever she wants. After that time, she can decide if she would like to keep going. The story (and their love) continues to develop within the next two books. I never became obsessed with the incredibly erotic book, but I was around the craze that happened last summer, when everyone I knew could not stop reading it. However, I know the story and am very interested to see how the novel will emerge into a movie. The film will be rated NC-17 and very popular, I’m sure.
