Tom Brady sat on the bench for two years at the University of Michigan as a college quarterback. He didn’t receive much playing time and wasn’t very noticeable coming out of high school. Now, the sixth rounder from the 2000 NFL Draft is seeking his fourth championship ring and is one win away from playing in his sixth Superbowl. Tom Brady has been selected to the pro bowl nine times, he won the Most Valuable Player award twice, and is the Patriots all time leader in passing touchdowns, completions, yards, and career wins.
Before I begin, who do you think is a better quarterback? Peyton Manning or Tom Brady? Well, many would say Brady because he has more championship rings than Manning. This is going to be yet another interesting match up between these two future Hall of Famers going at it for sixty minutes. This is no surprise that these two quarterbacks are back in the title game because they know what it takes it get there. Now, the question remains: Can Tom Brady get back to the Superbowl and win it?
Tom Brady is most known for his crucial moments when his team isn’t winning. So to answer the question, Yes, I can see New England getting back to the Superbowl and winning it; however, the Patriots can’t take Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos for granted. I’ve watched Peyton Manning for many years even when he when he played for the Indianapolis Colts. Although he’s very comfortable standing tall in the pocket, he releases the ball so quickly that defenders don’t have the opportunity to try to get a sack. Manning is a smart quarterback who’s able to read defenses. If the Patriots plan on winning this game, the defense must get Peyton Manning out of his comfort zone. They also need to score points. Peyton confuses defenses with audibles, and if I were the defensive coordinator for New England, I would try to do the same to see if I could knock him off balance.
The Patriots will definitely be the favorite to win the AFC Title game. However, the Denver Broncos are going to come out with a chip on their shoulder and try to pull out an upset. This game will come down to the team who commits the least turnovers and who’s executing on the offensive side of the football. In my opinion, I see the Patriots winning this football game.
