Last night, the Superbowl offered many exciting things. It was the Denver Broncos high power offense against the The Seattle Sea hawks and their impenetrable defense. I believed it was going to be a very exciting game despite who would emerge the victor. I also thought there would be several funny or good commercials because usually the best commercials are during the Superbowl. But it was a disappointing and overall boring night to watch the biggest night in football. The only saving grace was the half time show which was pretty good although I wanted to see more of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
The game was an absolute mess. the bronco’s high functioning offense was playing like a high school football team and a bad one at that. They kept making mistakes and the play selection was terrible. The only person that was doing anything was Payton Manning and he threw 2 interceptions, but that is only half of the problem. The Denver Broncos defense was below average not even being able to stop Seattle’s offense even once. Don’t get me wrong the Seattle offense is pretty good but it looked like they were scoring with relative ease. Just a terrible game to watch.
Then comes the commercials for the Superbowl. Usually when watching the Superbowl, there are a lot of commercials that are very good, and just a a small amount that were okay. This Superbowl there was a handful of commercials that were pretty good and the rest were terrible. I could possibly name three that were good commercials which were the the Budweiser puppy commercial, the bud light commercial with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the jaguar commercial with Ben Kingsly. There might be a few more that i forgot to mention but everything else was mediocre at best.
