The biggest names in the music industry hit the stage at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas this past weekend. The festival featured artists all across the musical spectrum. Here is a preview of some top stories:
J.Cole possibly had one of the best performances of the night. He surprised everyone when he announced TLC would be joining him to perform “Crooked Smile” off his Born Sinner album. It was the first time they performed the hit song together. J.Cole admits he was both nervous and excited. From the reaction of the crowd, the surprise was worth it.
Drake performed “Hold on, we’re going home” from his new album, Nothing was the same. He rocked a long sleeve shirt with Jaden Smith’s face on it. Somehow, Drake can do no wrong.
Even though Miley Cyrus has been in the tabloids lately for less than desirable reasons, her critics can’t seem to stop talking about her heartfelt performance of “Wrecking Ball.” Yes, Miley’s wardrobe was rather scandalous, but who can criticize her for letting loose? After all the iHeart music festival is about expressing yourself through music.
Other celebrities such as the Kardashians were hosts at the festival. Even after all the drama surrounding her husband, Khloe Kardashian was radiant at the festival as she showed up in a fabulous black leather dress alongside her sisters Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie. Time will surely heal all.
If you missed the festival, no worries! The CW will be rebroadcasting the festival on Monday September 30th and Tuesday October 1st.
