Justice for Trayvon Martin

The recent case of Trayvon’s death has sparked media frenzy. Central Florida has united together for justice and this story has now become national.  Unfortunately, as of right now Trayvon’s murderer has still not been charged with anything and Trayvon’s parents and the nation want to know why. It appears that Sanford police are defending Trayvon’s murder and saying that, George Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon in the chest as self defense but Trayvon was not armed and only held a pack of skittles and an iced tea. 991 call records have now been uncovered and they show that Trayvon was actually pleading for his life before Zimmerman gunned him down. Zimmerman’s father actually wrote to the Sentinel that “George is a Spanish speaking minority with many black family members and friends. He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever. He also wrote, “At no time did George follow or confront Mr. Martin. When the true details of the event become public, and I hope that will be soon, everyone should be outraged by the treatment of George Zimmerman in the media.”Our entire family is deeply sorry for the loss of Trayvon. We pray for the Martin family daily. We also pray that the community will grieve together and not be divided by more unwarranted hate.” Now that 911 recordings show how Zimmerman continued to follow 17-year-old Trayvon  even after police advised him not to — and captured the sound of the man killing the unarmed youth with a shot to the chest — Trayvon Martin’s family wants the FBI to take over the investigation into his killing. Trayvon’s family stated, “I just want answers from the police department about what happened with my son,” There was a rally held today in Sanford, Fla., to bring more attention to what has now become a national debate about what may have been a case of racial profiling that turned deadly. I find it interesting that with the Casey Anthony trial, Casey was prosecuted and taken into custody and authorities were not even sure if she murdered Kaley or not but the Sanford Police know that Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon and he has not even been investigated or charged, this is some world we live in. This upcoming Monday, there will be a protest at Sanford’s city hall where people from out of state will come and speak on justice for Trayvon.
