On Saturday January 18th 2014, the Tilted Kilt on International Drive teamed up with Loudmouth Golf to bring the Tilted Kilt Open. The Shingle Creek Golf Club hosted this wonderful event, and a portion of the proceeds went towards the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), which raises awareness and money for wounded soldiers and their families. Whats2hot was very proud to take part in this great event and to be the official social media sponsor of the Tilted Kilt Open.
The Shingle Creek Golf Club presents challenges to players of all levels and has consistently been rated as one of Orlando’s best golf courses since opening in 2003. Our state-of-the-art practice facility provides Orlando golfers with everything they need to work on their game.
Since the beginning, golf clothing was not the most fashionable around. Grey and Khaki were pretty much all the players wore, and no one really stood out on the green. Khakis for golf weren’t going to cut it for Loudmouth founder Scott Woodworth. He found some fabric with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and company on golf carts on a powder blue background and made himself a pair of golf pants of questionable taste. Today, loudmouth golf recognized as the leading brand in “outrageous, fun golf apparel for men.”
While the concept behind Tilted Kilt has roots deep in the tradition of Scottish, Irish and English pubs, it was actually first invented in Las Vegas by Mark DiMartino. His concept was a “contemporary Celtic-themed sports Pub staffed with beautiful servers in sexy plaid kilts and matching bras.” Today, it is a thriving franchise that is a favorite for many locals and visitors alike.
