Last month, Dr. Kimbery Voss was a featured speaker at five Florida Women’s History Month events, sharing her insights from her extensive research on women’s journalism, politics, and history.
These talks were part of the Florida Humanities Speaker Series, a competitive program in which Dr. Voss has been an esteemed participant for the past three years. This series is a prestigious program that brings engaging, thought-provoking discussions to communities across the state. Sponsored by Florida Humanities, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Florida’s rich cultural heritage, this program features expert speakers who explore a wide range of topics, including history, literature, politics, and the arts.
Dr. Voss presented in Citrus and Hernando County on her upcoming book about newspaper advice columnists, in Delray Beach on her book Women Politicking Politely, and in New Smyrna Beach and Port Orange, where she connected her research to the novel and streaming series Lessons in Chemistry.
As the author of several influential books, including Women Politicking Politely, The Food Section, and Women’s Page Journalism, Dr. Voss continues to shed light on the important contributions of women in media and history.
