On May 15th, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer joined executives at NBCUniversal’s Orlando headquarters to celebrate the transformation from its Golf Channel roots to a leading sports and entertainment technology hub.

The renewed interior is a true homage to the image of the “City Beautiful.” Walls are adorned with colorful murals and conference rooms are decorated with photographs of the locations they are named after, each of them named after a well known street or famous location.

These new murals are the work of Orlando artists Christian Stanley and Helen Miranda. An alum from the University of Central Florida, Christian has a substantial portfolio of work, many of which you may see by simply driving through Orlando. His art is known for its vibrant colors and inspiration from local wildlife. Helen started her career crafting colorful masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her many inspirations have culminated in a bright, colorful and charming style that are reflected in her murals and the many accessories she sells in her online shop.

To commemorate the completion of the renewal project, Mayor Buddy Dyer unveiled original artwork commissioned by NBCUniversal that symbolizes the connection between the Orlando-campus and “The City Beautiful.” The letters ‘NBCU’ are infused with images of Orlando attractions, buildings and landmarks, perfectly encapsulating the pride and culture of Orlando.
