Heather Keroes, APR, senior communications strategist at Curley & Pynn Public Relations & Marketing Communications, has been tapped to lead the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Orlando Regional Chapter as president for 2019.

The Orlando Regional Chapter is among a network of 116 PRSA chapters and 30,000 members worldwide serving the communications community with a mission to make communications professionals smarter, better prepared and more connected through all stages of their career. As president, Keroes will spearhead efforts to enhance professional development and networking opportunities for more than 250 members in Central Florida. A PRSA member since 2008, she has previously served the chapter in leadership roles for finance, program development and sponsorship.

Keroes offers more than 15 years of experience managing public relations programs for clients in varied industries, including tourism, hospitality, higher education and technology. A member of the Curley & Pynn team since 2010, she previously served as social media manager for Universal Orlando Resort, where she managed the theme park destination’s social media strategy and helped open The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Keroes’ experience also includes roles in the public relations departments of Ypartnership (now MMGY Global), Push and Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts.

An accredited public relations professional, Keroes graduated from the University of Central Florida’s Burnett Honors College with a bachelor’s degree in radio and television broadcasting, and a minor in writing.
