Get ready to laugh out loud as the Orlando Fringe Festival spotlights the art of one act comedy! Known for its vibrant celebration of independent performing arts, the Orlando Fringe festival is the longest running Fringe festival in the United States. This festival showcases a variety of bold, creative, and hilarious performances.

The new one act comedy titled “That’s Why I’m Single” written by Communications MA student, Dawson Tran, is a witty and heartwarming comedy that delves into the world of chaos that is dating.

From the Press Release:
Growing up with Orlando Fringe, Dawson Tran is excited to take the next step in his playwriting career. “I watched a lot of Fringe shows,” Tran said, “and when I started writing, I knew I wanted a project of mine to shine alongside other outstanding shows.” “That’s Why I’m Single” began as a submission to a One-Act Festival for Project Spotlight, a student-run play developmental organization at UCF. This organization bonded a group of young artists for life, bringing them and their play to Orlando Fringe.

“That’s Why I’m Single” will perform throughout the Orlando Fringe Festival at The Orlando Shakespeare Theater with the following show dates and times:

Thursday, May 15th @ 6:05pm

 Saturday, May 17th @ 6:35 pm
