Biography

Alex X. Colón, M.A. is a strategic communication doctoral student and a graduate teaching associate in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media at the University of Central Florida. His primary area of research focuses on instructional communication within online learning environments. He has conducted research to investigate the impact of social presence, online communication climate, and the use of educational communication technologies on student learning outcomes and relational goals. He teaches courses in fundamentals of technical presentation and interpersonal communication.
He earned his B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his M.A. in Communication Studies from California State University Northridge.
