Biography

Amy is a spirited leader recognized for her skill in building strategic partnerships focused on delivering channels of revenue sustainability for a diverse portfolio of initiatives for the Nielsen organization. Building partnerships is a natural outcome of her vivacious energy and interest in connecting people with innovative ideas. Her passion for collaboration and engaging individuals and systems took root and grew from her 29-year career with Nielsen leading critical ventures in support of the mission to empower a better media future for all people.

Amy contributes her success as an advocate to the distinct opportunities Nielsen trusted her to direct, which included increasing responsible positions in Human Resources, Training and Organizational Development, Client Service, Communication, and Public Affairs. Most recently, Amy served as Nielsen’s SVP, Community Engagements. In her role, she worked as the co-site executive at the Global Technology and Innovation Center in Tampa Bay, the company’s most significant facility.

Amy graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BA in communication. She launched her career as a Traveling Leadership Consultant for Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, followed by Director of Student Activities at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, KY. Civic outreach and corporate social responsibility are not only big parts of Amy’s professional career ~ they are her passion. She has cultivated an impressive network of influencers and key advisors who trust her as a partner in building societal value.

Amy is a strong supporter of her community reflected in her involvement in varied areas of the Tampa Bay region and across the state. She is a proud member of Leadership Florida’s Cornerstone Class 29 and an active lector at St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Petersburg where she lives with her husband and daughter, a UCF Burnett Honors college student. She enjoys attending college and pro sporting events, concerts, and musicals; collecting antiques; traveling; and hiking on the Appalachian Trail with her family.
