Biography

Collins Xavier Kayongo (M.A., Uganda Christian University, 2018) is a Graduate Teaching Associate and doctoral student in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media at the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Strategic Communication. His research focuses on the intersections of risk and crisis communication, health communication, and instructional communication, with particular interest in how communication strategies shape public understanding, decision-making, and resilience in high‑stakes contexts.

Kayongo’s work draws on both quantitative and qualitative approaches to examine how individuals and organizations navigate uncertainty, respond to emerging threats, and engage in message design that promotes clarity, trust, and action. He brings to his scholarship more than 18 years of professional experience in media and communication, which informs his commitment to research that advances theory while offering practical value for communities, educators, and organizational leaders.
