Biography

Gloriah Ganyani is a Graduate Teaching Associate at the University of Central Florida, where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Strategic Communication in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media. She teaches undergraduate courses in fundamentals of technical and oral presentations and human communication.

Her research interests are focused on risk and crisis communication, particularly how people process and respond to information on various platforms, the influence of emerging technologies and message effectiveness.

Ms. Ganyani holds Master of Science (MSc) degrees in Journalism and Media Studies and Disaster Management from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe. She brings extensive professional experience in developing and implementing strategic communication initiatives for various organizations, including UN Women in Liberia and Médecins Sans Frontières/ Doctors without Borders.

Through her research, Ms. Ganyani seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice by applying academic insights to real-world communication challenges.
