Originally from South Florida, Jamie spent her early college years at UCF, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising/Public Relations, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Jamie’s passion and drive for communication grew even stronger during her graduate studies, also at the University of Central Florida where she earned her Master of Arts Degree in Communication, with an emphasis on Interpersonal Communication, in 2006.
Since that time, Jamie has been working in higher education as both an educator, and a leader, and has taught a variety of communication courses at Valencia College, Full Sail University, and UCF. Jamie is also a certified facilitator for the True Colors personality assessment through True Colors International.
Jamie enjoys learning alongside others and has stayed connected to UCF through the Alumni Association, where she currently serves as the Chair for the Nicholson School of Communication and Media chapter. She is proud to serve her alma mater and enjoys helping others find their paths.

Lastly, Jamie is excited to have entered the next phase of her educational journey, joining the Fall 2020 cohort in the NSCM Strategic Communication Ph.D. program.
