Biography

Nicholas Joiner is an instructor in Film and Media Production and Management at the University of Central Florida, where he teaches production courses across both disciplines. A proud UCF alumnus, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Radio Television Production (now Media Production and Management) and began his career while still a student, working for Adrenaline Films and at NBC Sports/Golf Channel.

With over a decade of experience in the film and television industry, Nicholas works as a professional camera operator, jib operator, robo cam operator, and video shader. His freelance portfolio includes high-profile clients like the Orlando Magic, Disney, the Olympics, SpaceX, and Universal. In 2023, he was honored with a Suncoast Emmy Award for his camera work on Nadia Ukraine: National Ballet of Ukraine. Nicholas brings real-world expertise and a passion for storytelling to the classroom, helping students gain hands-on experience in film/media production and live broadcasting.
