Biography
Rebecca Simons is a proud alumna of the University of Central Florida, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English in 2011. With over 13 years of experience as a communications professional, Rebecca specializes in executive communications and brand reputation management. She began her career as a legislative intern at Gray Robinson working out of the Florida State Capitol and later went on to work on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for a Florida congressman, gaining valuable early experience in public policy and government affairs. She currently serves as an External and Executive Communications Manager at Cisco, where she strategizes and delivers high-impact communications for senior leadership, drives thought leadership and manages strategic responses to complex industry regulations around AI and tech. Her extensive career also includes senior communications roles at Lockheed Martin Space, Ovintiv Oil and Gas, and FTI Consulting, providing her with a diverse background in tech, aerospace and defense, energy, and public affairs. Rebecca also serves as a Strategic Communications Advisor for mid-size Aerospace & Defense companies, bringing valuable insights into brand positioning and executive influence.
