Jade McGovern is an adjunct instructor teaching Writing for Public Relations at the UCF Nicholson School of Communication.

She graduated summa cum laude from UCF with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations. While attending UCF, McGovern earned several Knights Image Awards, the Florida Public Relations Association Future PR Professional of the Year award in 2003 and several FPRA scholarships.

Working in the public relations field since graduating, McGovern has served as communication specialist for Kissimmee Utility Authority and program director for Leadership Seminole, and is currently a principal for her own consulting and freelance writing business, Well Said Public Relations. The organization contracts with a diverse range of clients to provide services in event planning and on-site event coordination, writing promotional, advertising and marketing materials, copy editing and public relations consulting.

McGovern has been a member of the Florida Public Relations Association since 2000 and is a Leadership Osceola County alumna, class of 2004, and a Leadership Seminole alumna, class 23. She and her husband reside in Lake Mary with their two children.
