At the annual Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Golden Image Awards Gala, several team members at Curley & Pynn Public Relations Management Inc. received awards for their professional contributions and outstanding work. Multiple UCF alumni on the Curley & Pynn Public Relations Management team, including Kacie Escobar, MBA, APR, Heather Keroes, APR, and Sarah Kelliher, received several honors at the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Golden Image Awards Gala, including “Member of the Year,” a Judges’ Award and an Award of Distinction for their work supporting the launch of a WUCF-TV show.

FPRA named Curley & Pynn Vice President Kacie Escobar, MBA, APR, “Member of the Year,” recognizing her dedicated service to the FPRA Orlando-Area Chapter and the Florida Public Relations Education Foundation. In addition, Curley & Pynn Vice President Heather Keroes, APR, Public Relations Strategist Sarah Kelliher and Associate Public Relations Strategist Stephanie Rodgers were also recognized for their efforts to promote the season’s premiere of “A World of Difference” on Central Florida’s PBS affiliate station, WUCF-TV.

Escobar, Kelliher, and Dan Ward (President of Curley & Pynn) mention the importance of their work and the impact it has had on them and the community, and what this moment meant to them.

Kacie Escobar, MBA, APR, Curley & Pynn Vice President: “Receiving FPRA’s Member of the Year award is deeply humbling. I was introduced to FPRA through membership in Quotes, the Ad/PR club at UCF, and it changed the trajectory of my career. It’s truly an honor to serve the professional association that has been a source of continued education, leadership opportunities and friendship for more than 10 years of my life. ”

Sarah Kelliher, Public Relations Strategist: “One in five children in the United States has a learning or attention issue, yet there are very few resources available to families working through related challenges. Our work to promote ‘A World of Difference’ means so much to us because we know it’s a program that is changing lives and providing hope to many people who need it. We are thrilled our industry peers saw value in our work to promote last season’s premiere and are really excited to support the show as it continues to grow this upcoming season!”

Dan Ward, President of Curley & Pynn and NSCM Advisory Board Member: “I’m incredibly proud of our team’s commitment to our clients and leadership in our profession; having that dedication recognized by our peers statewide through FPRA is truly an honor. The hard work and passion Heather, Sarah and Stephanie demonstrated to promote ‘A World of Difference’ for Beacon College set a great example for our Curley & Pynn team and reflect our values as an agency. Kacie is a model of leadership not only for our team but also for her industry peers, so it came as no surprise when she was named Member of the Year. Each of us calls upon the lessons we learned in the UCF Nicholson School and is proud to represent Knight Nation. With over half of our C&P team being Knights, we’ll keep charging on!”
