Communication

The Communication program helps develop strong communication skills, which, among many things, allow students to assist families in making life-saving decisions about healthcare, aid companies in navigating difficult change and develop stress-mitigating practices for high-stakes operational environments.

The Communication program includes program areas of Advertising/Public Relations, Communication and Conflict, and Human Communication. The program also offers a master’s degree in Communication and Ph.D. in Strategic Communication. There are also minors and certificates are available.

Games and Interactive Media

The Games and Interactive Media program allows students to explore mixed art, storytelling and design. Home to both undergraduate and graduate programs, students can study and specialize in everything from transmedia story creation, to game and web design.

Film and Mass Media

Courses in our Film and Mass Media program put the students in the driver’s seat. Students learn to write stories, shoot and edit images, or design an entire magazine by the end of the program.

The Film and Mass Media program includes both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Film, as well undergraduate programs in Journalism and Media Production and Management. Minors and a certificate are available as well.

FIEA

Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) is UCF’s nationally top ranked Graduate Game Development Program. FIEA is the place where game development and dreams meet. FIEA faculty train students for careers in the game industry (in expertise areas that include art, tech art, programming, production, design, etc.). FIEA students have the opportunity to collaborate with classmates and industry experts to learn the different functions of the game industry.

FIEA offers a Master of Science in Interactive Entertainment, with more than seven areas of specializations.
