Biography

As an advertising instructor in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media at the University of Central Florida, Gabrielle “Gabby” Jarmoszko’s passion for inspiring students sets her apart. Her favorite quote, “I became a teacher because your life is worth my time,” mirrors how she makes a difference at the second largest university in America by treating her students like they’re not just a number.

Jarmoszko has been interested in all things creative since the beginning of her academic career. Her early involvement in journalism, graphic design and marketing led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, followed by a digital communications and journalism Master’s, both at the University of South Florida. Jarmoszko cultivated a passion for teaching during her time working as a high school photography teacher while pursuing her Bachelor’s. In 2022, she was inducted into her alma matter’s chapter of Kappa Tau Alpha for her graduate program work as the “Top Scholar for Highest Graduate Student Ranking.” Her budding research interests investigates the point of convergence of visual communication and psychological implicit biases.

Beyond teaching, Jarmoszko is the liaison between the committee and Ad2Orlando, an organization for young professionals in the advertising industry. Through this role, she hopes to help Nicholson School students to connect with local employers. When she isn’t teaching, she is probably at home with her many cats.
