Biography
Katelyn Lambert (M.A., University of Nebraska Omaha, 2022) is a doctoral student and graduate teaching associate at the University of Central Florida. Before attending UCF, she taught at Chadron State College as a lecturer and was the faculty advisor for CSC’s The Big Event, an annual day of community service to say “thank you” to the Chadron community. She earned her B.A. in Communication Arts from Chadron State College in 2020, then attended the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she earned her Master of Arts in Communication. While at UNO, she wrote her thesis on women in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, critiquing how women are constructed and portrayed within the franchise. This thesis was awarded Top Thesis for the School of Communication at UNO in 2022. Her research interests include risk and crisis communication, persuasion, popular culture, feminist studies, and media studies. She plans to dedicate her studies at UCF to the intersection of pop culture and strategic communication, specifically regarding reputational crises in various pop culture spaces.
