Biography

Melany Socorro is an Academic Advisor for the Nicholson Academic Student Services Center. She is a first-generation alum of the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Human Communication, specializing in Social Innovation and Activism and a minor in Women Studies. After receiving her AA degree at Miami-Dade College, she moved to Orlando from Miami, and she worked with UCF Parking Services during her time as a student. Melany enjoys a good read, growing her collection of plants, and spending time with her pets, Ino and Winter.
