Meeske joined the radio-television faculty at the NSC in 1970 and served as director from 1993-2003. Throughout his tenure, Meeske contributed immeasurably to the growth of NSC. Including the construction of the Nicholson School of Communication and Media building. After retiring Meeske returned to the classroom to teach and regularly updated his popular textbook. His legacy at NSCM continues through the endowed Meeske scholarship, which is given annually to outstanding communication students.
