The Nicholson School of Communication and Media is the largest department within the College of Sciences, with almost 100 faculty members teaching over 4,000 students.

Since 2016, the role of leading the school as the director has been held by Dr. Robert S. Littlefield. Through his tenure as director, Dr. Littlefield has led the school through monumental changes, including the addition of the media programs, the move to the UCF Downtown campus, and the addition of the school’s first Ph.D. program.

We had the opportunity to interview Dr. Littlefield after he stepped down from his role as director of the school. In this interview, we learn about how he started as director, some of his favorite memories and what he hopes the next director of the school will do to carry the school forward.
