The Nicholson School of Communication and Media would like to welcome visiting scholar, Dr. Juan Chen, the Director of the Center for Health Risk Monitoring and Public Communication in South China University of Technology. In addition to this, she is a professor at the College of Journalism and Communication in South China University of Technology. Dr. Chen completed her PhD in Communication from the Communication University of China, Beijing in 2008 and since then has worked on research and peer-reviewed publications. Some of Dr Chen’s recent work includes peer-reviewed publications such as How Public Health Prevention and Control is Moving Towards Consensus: An Online Community Communication Perspective. Her research interests include media sociology as well as health communication. We are excited to have Dr. Juan Chen at NSCM and are eager to see where her research goes!
