Biography
Pat Gribbin is an adjunct professor teaching Electronic News Gathering to future TV and digital journalists.
A 42 year veteran of local TV news, Pat began his news photography career in his hometown of Colorado Springs at KOAA-TV. He later joined the staff of KOCO TV in Oklahoma City, eventually moving to Central Florida. He was the Space Coast photographer for WCPX (now WKMG), covering the shuttle Challenger disaster, and subsequent return to flight. He later joined the staff at WESH TV in the same capacity, and stayed for another 34 years as a general news photographer, Chief News Photographer, and finally News Operations Manager where he led the team of photographers, editors, and the technology that has changed the way crews cover the news.
Wishing there was a class like this at his college back in the day, Pat is committed to giving students their first tools to use in their future storytelling careers.
