New developments in O.J. Simpson case after knife discovered at the Simpson property

A nation was split on racial lines in October 1995 when a jury acquitted O.J. Simpson of murdering Nicole Brown Simpson. O.J. Simpson is black and Nicole Brown Simpson was white.

Now, more than two decades after the stabbing of Nicole Brown Simpson, a retired police officer has turned in a knife reportedly found on O.J. Simpson’s former estate where the crime took place. The discovery of the knife is causing a number of questions to be raised.

The retired police officer, who apparently had the knife for quite some time, waited to turn the knife into the proper authorities. According to reports, the former officer received the knife from a construction worker back in 2003. When asked about the condition of the knife, he said it looked dirtied and had no blood on it. He also mentioned it looked as if it had been buried. The officer, George Maycott, said he found the knife and did report it to authorities, however he was told that there was nothing they could do. He put away the knife and forgot about it for years.

Once the knife was properly turned in to the authorities recently, the LAPD are in the process of examining and testing the the knife for any indication that it could be linked to the O.J. Simpson case. Testings will proceed, despite the fear that the knife having been buried for so long may have deteriorated any DNA or links.

Currently O.J. Simpson is imprisoned in Nevada for another crime. He was charged with kidnapping and armed robbery, and is currently sentenced  to 33 years with parole eligibility.

PGA: World Golf Championship

DORAL, FL – World ranked no. 3 golfer Rory  McIlroy looks poised to grab another PGA victory at the W.G.C.  Cadillac Championship today.  Rory has a 3 stroke lead going into the final round Sunday, and if history stays true, the odds are in his favor to win.

Six out of Nine times, McIlroy has held the lead after 54 holes and gone on to win.  This bodes well for the Pro set to tie Nicklaus and Tiger Woods for another record.  This time its accomplishing 12 pga tour wins per year by the age of 24.  Impressive, for the man with questions surrounding him with the rise of names like Speith, Day, and Fowler this year.  In addition, Adam Scott has made a surge in play as of late as well as Bubba Watson.

But its McIlroy who all eyes are on this Sunday.  Trump National at Doral plays host to the WGC tournament, but nothing political is going on here with the Masters looming just around the corner.

Rory is hitting his stride, playing bogey-less after his round Saturday, and also shaping up his new putting stroke that is modeled the same as World No. 1 Jordan Speith’s stroke.  This timing couldn’t be better considering Rory has won all Major Tournaments with the Masters being the only exception.  Tune in to see the final round of the WGC Cadillac on the GOLF channel NBC to see in McIlroy’s return to form proves true.

In the hunt: A. Scott 3 back; D.Johnson 3 back; Mickelson 5 back; Watson 5 back;

Notables:  Speith (No.1) -2 in 17th place

Eating Peanuts Can Help Infants Avoid Peanut Allergies Later on in Life

After studying findings in the New England Journal of Medicine, researchers have found that feeding infants small portions of peanuts can help prevent the development of allergies. They reported these findings on Friday, March 4th. This new development contradicts what health professionals have been suggesting for years (that infants should not be fed certain foods such as peanuts and strawberries until they are older).

According to the study, which is led by King’s College London, “the early introduction of peanuts to the diets of infants at high-risk of developing peanut allergy significantly reduces the risk of peanut allergy until six years of age, even if they stop eating peanuts around the age of five.” This information comes at a good time too. Recently, there has been an increase in the amount of dangerous and high-risk peanut allergies among children across the world.

This is not the first study that has evaluated peanut allergy prevention in children. Last year, the Learning Early About Peanut Allergy (LEAP) trial was conducted. After evaluating over 600 children, the study found that infants who were at high-risk of developing a peanut allergy greatly reduced their risk when they ate peanuts by the age of 11 months in comparison to infants who were never fed peanuts. LEAP research still continues to date.

Barry Kay, an emeritus professor of allergy and clinical immunology at Imperial College London, and other experts, believe that despite these findings, it is still too early to determine whether parents should change their infants’ diets. In the meantime, parents should take advice from their pediatricians.

Technology Aids Instructors and Students in the Classroom.

It is no surprise that the world has evolved into one that is more technology consumed than ever. Technology constantly brings us a new form of entertainment, work or education through the latest innovative devices, which allow us to work much more efficiently.

This is especially true for students. With the access millions of applications on any portable device, teachers and parents can download many different “apps” to engage students in more creative ways to learn, all while developing technology skills.

Julie Evans, CEO of Project Tomorrow, revealed in her latest “Speak Up Survey” that 89 percent of high-school students have access to internet-connected smart phones, while 50 percent of students in grades 3 to 5 have access to the same devices. Moreover, a third of students have access to devices like laptops or tablets in their school.

Technology in the classroom promotes many different benefits. It allows for teachers to keep track of attendance more easily. It also facilitates the grading of assignments, assigning students into groups, communication with the students or parents, keeping daily tasks organized, preparation of daily lessons and creativity in the classroom.

Students also benefit from technological advances in the classroom. It facilitates the organization of all assignments, keeping track of grades, communication with the instructors and classmates, develops technological skills and the change of routine helps students remain more focused.

Evans also revealed that this proliferation of educational tools is allowing students to be autonomous and design the “best fit” for their own needs.

Technology is helping students develop autonomy and be more creative in their process of learning, and with so many more technological advances expected, the relationship between education and technology is yet to flourish.

How to Prevent Allergies at an Early Age

Allergies are prevalent among some people, yet they are scarce among others. What is the root to this issue? Could it be that early exposure to foods that cause allergies could prevent allergic reactions all together? Could introducing children to peanuts at a young age prevent them from future allergies?

According to the “More Support for Early Exposure to Peanuts to Prevent Allergies” by Andrew Pollack from the New York Times, “Dr. Lack was the senior author of a study last year that found feeding peanuts to young children starting when they are 4 to 11 months old sharply reduced the risk of their developing peanut allergies.” How interesting to note early introduction to peanuts could influence the health of a child. How would the health of our children look years from now if proper measures were taken while they are young?

The remedy to the increasing rate of allergies in our country can ultimately lie in the diet of the younger population. Pollack notes, “In the meantime,” he said, “evidence is building that early consumption rather than delayed introduction of foods is likely to be more beneficial as a strategy for the primary prevention of food allergy.” The secret to a healthy nation with less allergies to foods are in how we develop the diets of our children. We have the power to enhance health and properly assess how to do so.

How interesting it will be to see how peanuts for infants could become a trend in the future. Being that infants cannot eat certain things that are hazardous, there may be a way to ensure that infants are properly nourished and that they can safely consume an item that may or may not become an allergy in the future.

Ben Carson Leaves Presidential Campaign

Dr. Ben Carson, the socially conservative doctor in the presidential campaign officially announced that he is leaving the campaign this Friday.  Carson spoke at the American Conservative Union’s 2016 Political Action Conference and assured that he would keep fighting on behalf of “We the People” even though he is dropping out of the race.  Carson stated, “Even though I might be leaving the campaign trail, you know there’s a lot of people who love me even if they won’t vote for me, I’m still going to be heavily involved to save our nation.”  He received a standing ovation and thunderous applause for the impact he has made so far, as well as the job he has done.

Dr. Carson’s formal announcement at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center did not come as a surprise to many.  He released a statement earlier this week that he would not be participating in Thursday night’s GOP debate in Detroit and said that he no longer saw a political “path forward.”

Carson had distinguished himself from the other Republican candidates early on with his quiet character and polite mannerisms.  Other Republican primaries have distinguished themselves from Carson with their overbearing personalities and childish insults, those of which Dr. Carson never took part in.

As he leaves the race, Carson encourages voters to examine each candidate’s values and base your vote off of whether or not your share those values with him.  He claims that he has put his faith in “we the people” to make the right decision.

Carson has still not officially endorsed another GOP candidate, but told Katie Couric on Thursday that he would “support whoever the people have chosen.”

The Amazing Case From The Screenplay ’12 Angry Men’ Has Many Underlying Sociological Theories – But Which Ones?

When the jurors first get together for the preliminary decision, it is reminded to them that the decision has to be 12 aboard or nothing, so they all have to keep that in mind before even deciding. What’s funny to men it’s that when they are asked who believes that the young boy is guilty, you would think that they already have their minds set up for a decision like some of the jurors didn’t even flinch when raising their hands so quick. But the rest of them started to watch around them, of course they notice that majority is already raising their hands so they basically ‘have to do it too’.

It is incredible how people get influenced by the majority of the people believe in, this is called observational learning, because you form an attitude based on observing others, basically ‘monkey see, monkey do’. But good thing there was one brave man enough not to follow everyone else’s opinion and stand against 11 other man saying that he does not believe that the young boy is guilty until he sees all the evidence that’s proves it. Another thing is how the others are making rude comments like “there’s always one” referring to there’s always one person who wants to be on the defense of everybody else.

Juror #8 doesn’t want to send the boy to die without really thinking and talking about all the possible theories that could have happened. He really wants to make sure that they are killing the right criminal here. He doesn’t want to make a decision for the sake of pleasing everyone else since they all already on the same page. This is a serious decision that they are making so he definitely wants to really talk about it with everyone else without getting judge that he doubts a he’s confused with all the statements and evidence he has heard and seen. Juror #8 wants the rest of the jury to understand what this boy has been through his whole life, he hasn’t had it easy at all, he’s been kicked and punched. He’s a troubled kid but not by his own fault but by the way life has been for him since such a young age, of course he rebels and he’s angry towards life because he hasn’t been happy.

More and more women are turning natural proving that natural hair is making a comeback.

Being apart of the natural community right is everything right now and I am proud to be a member. I have been natural for about three years now and I have had a rough time but I love the journey. Reading and watching other naturalista share their stores about their journey is something that I can relate to, growing up this subject was never talked about because we did not really take good care of our hair. Mainly because no on really taught us how to do hair, deep conditioning, co washing, moisturizing, protect and everything else that we need to know. As a child I always see women with long permed hair it was rare to see a women with long natural. In the black community we strive to get long hair but we lack to get healthy hair. You can have that goes down to your back but that does not mean that the hair is healthy. African American hair requires  a lot of hard work and care and back then people did not take the time to learn about their hair.

Now because of YouTube and so many young women who have decided to go natural and share their journey online it has really helped almost the whole natural hair community with their process. I have learned so much about my hair and many other women hair. Recently I help my friend cut her hair to because natural and I did a pretty good job. I have been also giving her tips and advice and they have been working because I have sen the growth. So many women have made the decision to go natural and they are loving the journey, even more and more women in Hollywood have decided to wear their natural and young children are looking up to them. This is an amazing thing because growing up I had no one to look up to when it comes to hair not even my mother

Rocket League’s Sales Prove that “Casual” Games can be Just as Fun as Triple-A Products

Rocket League was released on Playstation 4 on July 7th, 2015 on a service called “PS+”, which is a subscription based service that gives gamers access to Sony’s servers, AKA online play in any Playstation 4 game, and includes free games each month. This is not the first time a game has seen first-day release as a free download, like Apotheon on the same service. Xbox One has a similar service, but Rocket League wouldn’t come out for the Xbox until February of 2015.So how has a game released for free and created on a budget of only $2 million now be sitting with a profit of $70 million? Only one answer – it’s addictive and simple.

Rocket League has sold 4 million copies to date, not including copies that were downloaded for free, and has had over 12 million individual players. It only costs $20, and yet it is continuously outselling titles that are produced by large developers like Activision or Ubisoft, Rocket League suffers from, or benefits from, the “Bejeweled” effect as I like to call it. It is a game so simple, so easy to get into, and just difficult enough to master that any player of any age and background can sit down and enjoy the game. The game can even be described in 3 words – soccer with cars.

This may anger some people who view games of this nature as “Casual”, and even refer to those who only play games similar to Bejeweled or Peggle as “Casuals” online, However, even these people can’t deny the hardcore fun that getting a group of friends together and playing Rocket League can be. It’s breaking new ground by letting everyone know that it’s okay to enjoy “dumb” fun, as opposed to needing to sit down with games like The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim or The Witcher 3 to get a true “gamer” experience.

Gaming is whatever one finds enjoyment in – whether for one individual thats sitting down with a spreadsheet and a guide book as they begin to conquer a massively detailed, 80-hour long fantasy RPG, or if that individual likes to just occasionally go on their phone on the bus and play some Bejeweled, and neither of these gamers should be shamed for doing something they enjoy,

Apple Is Set to Announce New iPhone and iPad in March

Multiple technology outlets have reported that Apple is preparing to announce the full details about their new iPhone and iPad models in late March. The new iPhone, which is called the iPhone SE, will return to the 4-inch screen model and the new iPad Pro model is expected to be smaller than its predecessor as well.

The new 4-inch iPhone SE is believed to be a hybrid of the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6 and 6S’s features. Many reports have stated that the new phone will have a look that is similar to the iPhone 5S and will have slightly curved edges like the iPhone 6 and 6S. It is expected to have a 12-mega pixel camera and live photos, among other features. It is also believed that the phone will come in a wide range of colors. Some reports, including one from Mashable.com, believe one of the colors will be hot pink. The last time Apple released a 4-inch phone was back in 2013, when they released the budget-friendly iPhone 5C.

As for the new iPad Pro model, it is believed that it will be 9.7 inches, which is much smaller than the 12.9-inch model that is currently on the market. Despite the new design, the new iPad Pro is expected to have the same accessories as the current model.

After the release of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6S Plus last year, it is a possibility that Apple wants to have a variety of models for consumers to choose from (ranging from 4 inches to 5.5 inches with the same amount of functionality). There is also a belief that Apple is planning om discontinuing older iPad models after they release the new model.
